TRAVELING WITH A BABY: WHAT I PACK IN MY CARRY ON BAG

Not too much or too little- Pack just right.

Flying with a baby has made traveling more complicated. I have always been a planner but now, I HAVE to be a planner when it comes to traveling- the stakes are high. If I forget something, I could end up with a screaming baby and a plane full of annoyed passengers. If I bring too much, I'm struggling to get to what I actually need or leaving things behind and yet again, you guessed it- crying baby.

We have lots of trips scheduled during the next few months as my husband interviews for residency. I have paired down my carry on bag to one backpack with extra space, just in case.

Here are my flight carry on essentials when traveling with a 5 month old:

PREGNANCY SAFE SKINCARE: MAMA MIO GORGEOUS GLOW FACE WASH

Don't Let Pregnancy Acne Keep You Down

Pregnancy is such an exciting experience but that doesn't mean it comes without challenges- food restrictions, caffeine moderation, wardrobe changes and beauty routine restrictions. I was prepared for all of these changes when I got pregnant but I wasn't prepared for teenage breakouts. I thought pregnancy and glowing skin were a packaged deal- they aren't, not for everyone.

Mama Mio Gorgeous Glow Balancing Face Wash was my holy grail cleanser during my pregnancy and even months after- I loved it that much.

BOOKS OF THE MONTH CLUB: SEPTEMBER BOOK REVIEWS

I ALWAYS READ PAST MY BEDTIME

The Good Girls Revolt By Lynn Povich
Genre: Non-fiction

Overall the story and time period of Good Girls is fascinating. Learning about gender discrimination taking place at Newsweek, not so long ago, really blew my mind. I couldn't believe how recent these events were and yet how hidden they are from common knowledge. The topic was extremely interesting but the book fell in some regards. Parts of it read like a laundry list of facts but made it difficult for me to connect with the characters, even though I was trying to. Other parts, left your wanting more details. It lacked consistency. It was still a good read but based on the writing style, I was surprised this was written by an award winning journalist.

Amazon is releasing a show inspired by this book, premiering October 28. You can watch the pilot episode and I highly recommend that you do. It is kinda like Mad Men for women. I think the TV counterpart shows more promise than this book did (and I can't believe I just admitted that).
